Old Faithful - Yellowstone
National Park
This Web cam,
which features the famous geyser at Yellowstone National Park, is fun
to watch, though it's certainly not as intriguing as seeing the geyser
first hand. The images update every fifteen seconds, so you do get some
sense of action. My suggestion would be to check out the Web cam,
explore the site, learn a little more about the geyser and the park
itself, and then go visit it for yourself.

Golden Gate Bridge
The Golden Gate
Bridge is one of the most recognized things in the world with the world
"golden" in it, just slightly behind The Golden Girls and the golden
retriever. This Web cam features a static image of the bridge, updated
every one hundred seconds or so.

constantly refreshed images of the Bay of Fires, which is a gorgeous
bit of water located on Tasmania's Northeast coast.

Glacier National Park
When they were
passing out land, the people of Montana took an awfully big hunk,
whereas the people of Vermont said, "no, this will be plenty for us,
thank you." These three webcams each offer a different view of Glacier
National park, located in Montana, right across the Canadian border.
You can watch Lake McDonald, the park headquarters, or even the visitor
center where old people walk around in shorts.

USS Intrepid
"You are currently
viewing live images of the aftermath of the terrorist attack on the
World Trade Center in New York City. This EarthCam camera is mounted
high atop the USS Intrepid Museum, a 40,000 Ton, 900 foot-long aircraft
carrier. Launched in 1943, the USS Intrepid served the United States
Navy for 31 years. This Essex class carrier, along with her 23 sister
ships, formed the backbone of the United States Navy during the latter
half of the Second World War."

Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre
No, it's not where
wildlife go when they have drug and alcohol dependancies. Rather it's a
place where animals which are injured (usually from hunters) can be
treated. Tom, a state and federal licensed wildlife rehabilitator,
maintains this Florida Web cam. You can watch the animals Tom has
rescued as he nurses them back to health. Tom funds this center
himself, without the help of government contributions.

Wolves
This cam shows
static images of the wolf habitat at Bays Mountain Nature Park preserve
in Kingsport, Tennessee. According to the site, Bay Mountain served as
a refuge for many folks during the Civil War. But where did the wolves
go during the war? Surely all that fighting and bayonet stabbing would
make it difficult to go about your daily wolf routine. I think most of
the wolves traveled north where they still pretend to be dogs to this
day, even though they'd be about 970-years-old in actual dog years.

Bats
Bats are cool, so
you should check out this Web cam. It shows a couple bats which are
part of Bat Conservation International, a group dedicated to restore
the habitat of the bat.

Whales
Whales aren't just amusing animals that
balance beach balls, splash tourists, and swallow Biblical characters
and wooden puppets. No, they're actually very intelligent creatures
that could easily pass any college exam if it weren't for the fact that
they can't hold a pencil. Via this Web cam, you can see and hear whales
in a natural habitat. Mostly, though, you just hear a mic picking up
random noise underwater. If you sign up, you'll be alerted when the
whales swim by.
